Tasks and Responsibilities
Supervise, backup and provide guidance and training for department tasks completed within provider communications, special projects and special programs units. This includes tasks related to the development and review of policy communications, developing timelines, and analyzing large-scale projects, and processing related projects/assignments.
Oversee, provide guidance and/or attend meetings related to provider communications including, but not limited to, special projects, enhancements, long-term and/or high-impact communications, new provider manual section development, and process improvements.
Analyze and assist in resolving escalated issues from publications specialists and leads. Issues escalated to the supervisor include staff performance and workload, project timelines, reviews, and additional content and policy-related issues.
Collaborate with the Web Content supervisor and leads to analyze workload data, balance department workload, address process/performance issues and determine appropriate specialists for specific assignment types and special projects.
Attend client-facing meetings, as needed, for high-impact project planning or escalated publication issues.
Evaluate and follow up with specialists regarding performance issues; arrange for training as needed. Collaborate and contribute to formal staff evaluations, along with department manager, using input, data and documentation.
Establish a strong and positive working relationship with the stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) within Conduent and within client-based divisions; provide support and advice regarding processes, timelines and requirements.
Work with the department manager to ensure employees have the correct access levels; hardware and software to complete their work. Assist staff in resolving equipment, access, software and building maintenance issues and needs.
Create new employee training plans; deliver introductory and orientation training for new hires.
Assess and approve time off requests; monitor out of office call-ins or scheduled out of office reports; communicate absences to necessary colleagues.
Delegate tasks to staff, as needed.
Additional Tasks
Maintain a positive, professional, supportive and team-oriented attitude at all times.
Complete assignment reviews, as needed.
Backup leads, Web Content supervisor or department manager, as needed.
Oversee and participate in the development of new and maintenance of current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), reference documents, help guides, training materials and templates.
Send production and metric-based reports to manager, as requested.
Complete other tasks as determined by the department manager.
Preferred Education, Experience and Additional Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in a related field (Journalism, Communications, English, Public Relations, Public Health, etc.) and/or equivalent work experience.
A preferred two (2) years of experience or more in technical and/or non-technical writing and publications demonstrating familiarity with a comprehensive range of publication assignments.
A preferred two (2) years or more of supervising healthcare and/or communications staff in an office setting.
Experience with the following software: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Work experience in healthcare and/or communications
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written correspondence
Strong problem solving and project management skills

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
