Clark Pacific is seeking a Field Safety Engineer in West Sacramento, CA.
The Field Safety Engineer is responsible for implementing Clark Pacific's EHS safety policies and procedures in concert with the EHS Manager.
This is an autonomous role that will provide project teams leading indicator observations including acknowledgement of favorable behaviors and identification of specific hazards on project sites.
They will develop strategies to minimize risk and communicate them with the project teams and subcontractors.
The Field Safety Engineer is responsible for facilitating continuous improvement in Clark Pacific's safety culture, performance, policies, and practices.
This includes ensuring the use of best practices, bringing innovation to processes, work, and systems, and incorporating new ideas from other industries into our approach.

Exercise a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when working with staff, projects, and proprietary information.
Assist the EHS Manager-Construction in the development and implementation of Clark Pacific's clearly articulated safety vision, philosophy, objectives, strategies, policies, and procedures to build a safety culture dedicated to behaviors which lead to industry leading results.
Observe and analyze jobsites and project plans to help anticipate problems, provide, and implement approved solutions.
Initiate, lead, and manage documentation and support of the development of the SSSP and other key project programs.
Manage coordination and perform training at all levels of management, field staff, preconstruction, and project teams as necessary.
Routinely interact with internal self-perform stakeholders, clients, subcontractors, and inspectors to build a strong safety culture.
Engage routine communication with Clark Pacific's field workers and project teams, including subcontractors.
Build an interactive relationship.
Advise, educate, consult, recommend, and propose safety solutions to field superintendents and project managers.
Proactively plan and execute safety solutions and strategies based on leading indicators.
Provide routine safety performance evaluations based on analytical data sourced from both leading and lagging indicators.
Integrate field safety in many approaches including but not limited to:
risk based critical thinking, behavioral safety, cultural safety, circumstantial/situational safety, compliance perspective.
Identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions to safetyrelated issues and conclusions, monitor results to make improvements or take corrective action.
Oversee report on project site incident investigations.
Manage hazard assessment activities.
Conduct and/or supervise safety inspections and analyze inspection and incident data to identify opportunities to develop preventive and corrective practices.
Inspect active project sites, evaluate ongoing work conditions to support employee safety and guarantee compliance to predetermined Safety standards.
Conduct onsite facility observations/inspections specific to applicable regulatory agency compliance, insurance compliance and CP company policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Associate degree preferred.
1-5 years' experience with Safety and Compliance in a heavy construction and/or manufacturing environment is required.
OSHA 10 & 30 certification is preferred.
